Discover the Underground Railroad in Ripley

Sat., May 18. Depart 9:30am. Return 4:00pm | Visit Ripley, Ohio on Saturday, May 18, 2024 to learn firsthand about those involved in the Underground Railroad. This is an intergenerational field trip, and families are encouraged to come! We will visit three important sites in the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom, a program that honors, preserves, and promotes the history of resistance to enslavement through escape and flight.

The tour includes the Red Oak Presbyterian Church, John Rankin House, John Parker House, and pizza for lunch. Admission fees cover tours of the two homes. Any donations will go toward costs for lunch and credit card fees.
